About the Book

Miracles, Masterpieces, and the Madonna: A Mother’s Journey of Faith and Revelation by Prof. Aban P. Kavasmaneck

“This book is a faithful testimony of my unshakeable faith, exciting travels and collection of awe-inspiring religious art and antiquities. It is a revelation of my soul-searching journey of being drawn ever closer, and being saturated, in a passionate love for Jesus and Mary. Beginning with a life-changing miracle at Lourdes , France, my pilgrimages have taken me through many continents over thirty years of travelling, acquiring stunning paintings and statues, while exploring how the devoted have glorified Jesus and Mary in art through the centuries.

It is sincerely hoped that my experience of savoring Jesus and Mary will encourage and inspire others to find their own peace, awakening, happiness, and indeed, ecstasy through their own journeys. May all who read this book be blessed with the many wonders and miracles of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Mother Mary!

I owe an immense and unimaginable gratitude to my ever-loving, faithful, and devoted husband, Percy, whose gentle advice, strength, wisdom, and unparalleled integrity and faith were my inspiration and perennial guiding light. I could never have undertaken our
spiritual journey without his undying love and support.

I owe our children, Cyrus, Darien and Zubin, my eternal gratitude for being totally and selflessly devoted to us, for steadfastly supporting me in all my endeavors, and for being my inspiration in every step of our pilgrimages together.

I am indeed grateful to our exemplary and faith-filled priests, Father Sadie in Charleston, West Virginia, the late Fr. Medynsky in Ridgefield, Connecticut, Fr. Jerome in India, Fr. Jack Barrow in Florida, Fr. Tom Barrett, Fr. Gavin Badway, the late Fr. Harold Buckley and our beloved Bishop Gerald Barbarito of Palm Beach County, Florida, whose divine spark lit a flame in my
heart.

I owe an immense gratitude to all the nuns at the Prarthanalaya, (the Pauline Convent in Mumbai, India) where I wrote the entire account of my pilgrimage of faith, while at Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Their piety and devotion to our Lord were truly inspirational.

I would like to thank my rosary groups in Connecticut, West Virginia, and Florida. Their support, love, devotion, generosity, and goodness filled my heart with consolation and peace in my time of need.

Last, but not the least, my deepest gratitude to my dearest friends in prayer, Karmita and Charlie Gusmano and their adorable family, for their invaluable help, support and encouragement.” – Prof. Aban P. Kavasmaneck
